Accommodation rates and how to enquireCardean Water Mill is comprised of two buildings separated by the width of the mill wheel. One building is my house in which I offer bed and breakfast accomodation. The other building is a self-catering holiday house. The accomodation of each is listed below.
BED AND BREAKFAST: There is one room with two twin beds with private bathroom in my house which overlooks the lawn and the "Roman Bridge." The cost per night for the room is 45, and this includes morning tea and a full or continental breakfast as required. This rate is a nightly room rate and is negotiable for stays of 2 nights or more. THE HOLIDAY SELF-CATERING HOUSE: The property is normally booked from 4PM Saturday to 10 AM the following Saturday. In winter, late autumn, and early spring, weekend or mid week breaks are available. The property sleeps six people and also has a cot for a baby. Downstairs there is an entrance hall which features some of the old mill workings as a decorative feature. Off this hall is the lounge/dining are wutg books, games, a music centre, television and video. The kitchen is off this room and boasts all you would want including a microwave and dishwashing machine. On this floor, there is also a twin bedded room with shower room. There is also a laundry room with a washing and dryer machine. THE GROUND FLOOR HAS BEEN SPECIALLY CONSTRUCTED TO SUIT WHEEL CHAIR USE. Upstairs is a double room with a four poster bed and shower room ensuite. There is another twin bedded room and bathroom. The cot is in the "Quiet Room" which is a small lounge/library which is situated between the upstairs bedrooms. I like to think that the property and its contents are a bit five star!
The cost per week varies with the seasons from 400 to 850 plus, and the end of stay figure is computed from meter readings for gas and electric.
